Carignan Blanc
Carignan Blanc comes from France and is a colour mutation of the red one mazuelo with the synonym Cariñena. However, the variety is not called (as one might suspect) Mazuelo Blanc. The late ripening vine is very susceptible to mildew. It produces full-bodied, acidic white wines with citrus flavours. It is cultivated in the south of France under the name Carignan Blanc and in 2010 a total of 411 hectares are shown. Under the name Cariñena Blanca 2,650 hectares planted in Spain.
